Swiss Cow Bells: There is nothing more Swiss than walking to the sound of cow bells on a brisk Alpine morning.
Swiss farmers have used bells on their cattle for centuries, primarily to locate the herd in the open Alpine meadows. Bells have become part of Swiss culture—from everyday use to an integral part of traditional festival and music.
Two styles of bells are available: the Treicheln style — hammered metal bells, and the Glocken style — cast metal bells. We offer a variety of sizes in both styles. Though bells come with a decorative strap made of leather, colorful fringing and Appenzell accents, some bells can be ordered without a strap.
